Monday, June 21, 2004NEW YORK -- Atlanta is the No. 1 city for African Americans, Black Enterprise magazine announced today. Columbus, Ohio, in 9th place, was the only city in Ohio or Pennsylvania to place in the top 10.The top picks were culled from more than 4,000 interactive surveys completed at the magazine's Web site and by editorial staff evaluations. Col. Thomson Takes Command of 910th Airlift Wing

Gen. Michael F. Gjede ceded command of the 910th Airlift Wing to Col. Timothy J. Thomson.The ceremony, lasting just over an hour, was held in the hangar at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station, home of the 910th, which Gjede has commanded a little more than six years.
