Eastern Gateway Begins Classes at Warren Center

“This is fabulous. It’s great,” remarked the Warren resident, in her fourth semester at Eastern Gateway.
Monday was the first day of the semester -- and the first day of classes in Eastern Gateway’s new Warren Center. The downtown campus is in the former Mickey’s Army-Navy store, relocated from the Atrium Building.
Grove City College Business Program Gets Accreditation
Tuesday, January 13, 2015GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, Overland Park, Kan., has accredited the business curriculum at Grove City College, reports William Hinton, professor of business at the college.
The accreditation “assures students and employers that the program is strong and its graduates are thoroughly qualified,” the college said in a press release.

Chevy Goes Electric, Ford for Power at Detroit Auto Show
Monday, January 12, 2015YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Chevrolet kicked off the 2015 North American International Auto Show media days with a bang -- or rather, a buzz with the revamped electric battery of the Volt.
At the auto show's first press event, Chevy announced that the new battery in the 2016 Volt -- available in the second half of 2015 -- has a 50-mile range, a jump from 38 miles in the current model. Moreover, the battery is 100 pounds lighter.
Nexus Pipeline Route Outlined in Regulatory Filing
Monday, January 12, 2015WASHINGTON -- A venture that plans to build a pipeline that stretches from Columbiana County, across Ohio, Michigan and into Canada, has filed papers with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Houston-based Nexus Gas Transmission LLC, a partnership formed by Spectra Energy Partners and DTE Energy, submitted the initial paperwork, known as a pre-filing, Dec. 30. The Nexus pipeline is intended to ship gas from the Utica shale to markets in the Midwest, and Ontario, Canada.
Volkswagen Golf, Ford F-150 Car, Truck of Year
Monday, January 12, 2015DETROIT -- A panel of 57 automotive journalists chose the Volkswagen Golf GTI and the Ford F-150 as the North American Car and Truck of the Year, the hosts of the North American International Auto Show announced Monday.
The Car of the Year award is the second for Volkswagen, the New Beetle having won the award in 1999.
“The Golf and Golf GTI were recognized for setting new benchmarks in their segments, including innovation, distinguished design, and available driver assistance features, as well as unmatched value,” Volkswagen said in a press release.
