Firebirds, which launched 12 years ago this month in Charlotte, N.C., opened at the mall Monday, the chain’s first Ohio restaurant.

Ohio Casinos Report November Revenue of $54M
Monday, December 10, 2012COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The three gambling casinos in Ohio reported adjusted gross revenues of more than $54 million in November. The casinos, two of them relatively new, are in Cleveland, Toledo and Columbus.
Adjusted gross revenue is defined as money the casino operator receives less the winnings paid to patrons, according to the Ohio Casino Control Commission.

Ballet Western Reserve Presents 'Golden' Nutcracker

Nearly 80 Ballet Western Reserve students ages 7 to 17 have rehearsed for more than two months to bring "The Golden Nutcracker" to life, says Virginia Hartman, artistic director.
Mill Creek MetroParks Hosts Winter Celebration

The visitor center will feature an array of seasonal plants in bloom, park officials say, and holiday trees decorated by more than 50 local nonprofit organizations. The event also features a Snow Palace for area children to visit and make holiday memories.
