Saturday, June 01, 2013WYOMISSING, Pa.-- Penn National Gaming, Inc. announced Friday that it has joined with Endeka Entertainment LP to submit a proposal to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board for the development of a $225 million racing and gaming facility in Mahoning Township, Pa. The racino would be built just east of the Ohio line near the intersection of State Route 551 and State Route 422 in Lawrence County.
Chesapeake Unloads Leases in Columbiana to Hilcorp
Friday, May 31, 2013LISBON, Ohio -- Chesapeake Energy Corp., the largest leaseholder in the Utica shale and the first major energy company to recognize the potential of the play, has ceded its rights to future drilling in portions of Columbiana County, records show.
Documents obtained from the Columbiana County recorder’s office show that Chesapeake has assigned nearly 1,100 leases in six townships to Hilcorp Energy Co., a competitor that is accelerating exploration and production in southern Mahoning County, western Pennsylvania and northern Columbiana County.

Pennsylvania Launches Online Mine Map Viewer

The atlas allows residents and stakeholders to see detailed maps of underground mines once available only in hard copies.
"DEP is now providing public access to a wealth of information about undermined areas, enhancing our ability to safeguard structures in Pennsylvania's mining regions," said Gov. Tom Corbett in a prepared statement.
Apartment, Condominium Markets Remain Strong

Its multifamily production index dropped four points but has been above 60 for seven consecutive quarters -- the longest sustained period of strength since the inception of the index in 2003.
