ITC Determines 6 Countries Dumped OCTG

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Department of Commerce will impose countervailing duty orders and antidumping orders on imports of certain oil country tubular goods from six countries, including Korea, following a ruling by the U.S. International Trade Commission.
White House Task Force Rep to Hold YSU Roundtable

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Paula Brooks, a member of the Bipartisan White House Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience, will host a roundtable discussion at Youngstown State University on Resilience in the Face of Climate Impacts. The event will take place at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 25, in the Ohio Room of YSU’s Kilcawley Center.
US Senators Urge Pause on Postal Center Closings

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown joined 49 of his colleagues in urging members of the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations to halt the planned closing and consolidations of several U.S. Postal Service main processing centers around the county, including one in Youngstown set to close next year.
Brown, D-Ohio, and 49 other senators sent a letter Thursday to the chairmen and ranking members of the Appropriations Committee and the Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government.
Port Authority Board, County Commissioners Reconcile

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Commissioners in Mahoning and Trumbull counties say they no longer plan to dissolve the Western Reserve Port Authority. Instead, the port authority's board of directors is expected to discuss hiring an interim executive director before seeking a full-time replacement.
Commissioners from both counties, who met nearly four hours Tuesday behind closed doors, say they are satisfied with the direction the port authority is headed and intend to fill the vacancies created earlier this year when three resigned from the board.
A Day Early, A Dollar Short: Ryan Ends Wage Challenge

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio --Minimum wage proved insufficient for U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan and his family. The congressman spent his family's final dollars on a pack of trail mix in between back-to-back meetings Tuesday afternoon in Washington, D.C., he announced on Facbeook.
On Monday, Ryan announced that he and his family had $30 left to last them through Wednesday, the final day of the challenge.
