Toyota Captures Top Corporate Ranking in Vehicle Dependability

Inc. captures the top corporate ranking in the J.D. Power and Associates 2004 Vehicle Dependability Study released today.The success of Toyota Motor Sales is further evidenced in the improvements of two of its segment-leading models. The Toyota Corolla, which consistently performs well in the highly competitive compact car segment, improves an impressive 30 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100) from 2003.

"Pennsylvania AG Secures $433,000 for State Medicaid Program"
Monday, June 28, 2004"HARRISBURG, Pa. -- State Attorney General Jerry Pappert's Medicaid Fraud Control Section has secured $391,000 for the Pennsylvania Medicaid Program as part of an agreement with Rite Aid Corp. that settled allegations that the company submitted false claims to state and federal health care programs.In a separate case, Pappert's office secured $42,000 for the Pennsylvania Medicaid Program as part of a national agreement with Wal-Mart Stores, he said.

English Calls for 'Revolution' in Trade Policy
Monday, June 28, 2004"HERMITAGE, Pa. -- U.S. Rep. Phil English (R-Pa.) today met with Hermitage Rotarians and discussed trade policy and other congressional priorities. "Today, I am calling for a revolution in U.S. trade policy enlisting the federal, stare and local governments in a combined effort to strengthen the position of domestic manufacturers and level the playing the field against imports," said English, a member of the House Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee.

Hiram College Awarded $1.2 Million Grant
Monday, June 28, 2004HIRAM, Ohio -- Hiram College has been awarded a $1.2 million grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute as part of the organization's undergraduate science education program. The award is a four-year grant to support the integration of original research into courses within the Hiram curriculum and to increase opportunities for independent student research.The grant will also provide for key equipment purchases that will increase student research possibilities within and beyond courses.
Avalon Holdings to Sell Transportation Operations
