Hollywood Gaming Seeks to Fill Racetrack Positions
Wednesday, October 22, 2014AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course is still hiring for racetrack positions as it prepares to begin thoroughbred racing Nov. 24.
The racino, which opened its video lottery terminal operation Sept. 17, is looking to fill 20 to 24 open positions on the starting gate crew, track maintenance (including tractor and vehicle drivers), skilled trade positions (mechanics, plumbers and carpenters) jockey valets and general laborers.
New Kent State Trade Office to Promote Exporting

The U.S. Commercial Service is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.
Cafaro Sr. Glad to Leave Mahoning County Behind

American Energy Steps Up Utica Permitting
Wednesday, October 22, 2014COLUMBUS, Ohio -- American Energy Utica LLC, a division of Oklahoma City-based American Energy Partners LP, was awarded six new permits to drill horizontal wells in eastern Ohio's Utica shale play last week, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The company, founded last year by former Chesapeake Energy CEO Aubrey McClendon, secured all six permits for sites in Harrison County, records show. Four of the wells are slated for the Cravat Coal pad, while two others are targeted for the Triplett FRK pad.

Home Savings Names Tabor Trumbull Manager
Wednesday, October 22, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Home Savings and Loan Co. has named Nancy Tabor area manager for Trumbull County, Gary M. Small, president and CEO, announced Tuesday.
Tabor served as senior branch manager of both the Kirk Road and Newport Glen offices.
She joined Home Savings in 2012 and has served on the committee of Buy Into Youngstown and the Relay For Life of Niles, where she lives.

Cafaro Unveils $30 Million Investment at Eastwood

The company confirmed that it's moving its headquarters from Youngstown to a 50,000-square-foot building under construction at the complex, that it's moving forward on an adjacent conference center, and that a second hotel will be built at the mall complex by TMI Hospitality of Fargo, N.D.
