Senators Ask Postmaster General to Delay Closings
Tuesday, December 02, 2014WASHINGTON -- U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) joined 29 colleagues Monday in sending a letter to Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe urging the U.S. Postal Service to delay consolidation of up to 82 mail processing facilities nationally.
Ohio has four facilities slated to be consolidated, including the Youngstown Processing and Distribution Facility. Without the delay requested by Brown, the consolidations will begin next month.
