Ground Broken for $2.5M Adult Services Center
Friday, October 17, 2014HERMITAGE, Pa. -- A $2.5 million center set to open in June on the LindenPointe campus here will enable an organization to enhance the services it now provides adults with disabilities, say its principals.
Whole Life Services Inc. broke ground Thursday on an 8,600-square-foot training center that will be used to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities improve their academic, technical, life and business skills, said CEO Cindy Vogan.

Wednesday, October 15, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- You would be hard pressed to find a period when investment in new hotel construction was as robust as it is today across the Mahoning Valley.
At least five hotel projects and several more renovations that run in the tens of millions of dollars are on the books as the construction season moves into the cold-weather months.
Hotels are either planned or under construction in Liberty, Canfield, Salem and Boardman, while a recently finished complex in Niles hopes to draw in even more business to a thriving retail area.
Manufacturing Tech Orders Down in August
Tuesday, October 14, 2014McLEAN, Va. -- U.S. manufacturing technology orders in August totaled $356.7 million, up 0.4% but down from a year earlier, AMT -- The Association for Manufacturing Technology reports. In August 2013, technology orders totaled $379.3 million.
For the year so far, technology orders stand at nearly $3.1 billion, down 2.4% compared with 2013. The numbers are based on data reported by companies participating in the United States Manufacturing Technology Orders program.
Port Authority to Consider Route for Daily Service
Monday, October 13, 2014VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport could soon announce connecting daily service to a Midwestern hub.
The airport’s director of aviation, Dan Dickten, will ask the board of directors of the Western Reserve Port Authority, which operates the airport, to pass a motion approving “the proposed discussed airline route and Midwest major airline connecting hub service destination.”
