StoneFruit to Add Location in New Canfield Library

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The new Canfield Branch of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County will feature products from the StoneFruit Coffee Co. when it opens later this year.
StoneFruit will open a space within the branch to offer coffees and espresso, as well as hot chocolate, frozen hot chocolate, drinks for kids and more.
GM Reports 2014 Net Income of $2.8 Billion

DETROIT -- General Motors Co. today announced fourth quarter net income attributable to common stockholders of $1.1 billion, or 66 cents per diluted share, which included a net loss from special items of $0.9 billion or 53 cents per share.
For the full year, GM said net income attributable to common stockholders was $2.8 billion, or $1.65 per share, down from $3.8 billion, or $2.38 per share in 2013. 2014 was the fifth consecutive profitable year for the company.
Metroplex Owner Sues Girard, Liberty for $12.5M

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The company that operated the Metroplex Hotel and Conference Center in Liberty Township is seeking $12.5 million from township and Girard city officials in a civil rights lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court.
Domestic Automakers See Higher Sales in January

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Auto sales increased in January for all three domestic automakers, with General Motors Co. reporting the biggest increase, up 18%.
Sales of GM’s Chevrolet Cruze, built in Lordstown, were up 11.1% in January from a year earlier with 18,693 units sold across the country.
The car was Chevy's third-best selling vehicle behind the Silverado – 36,106 units sold, a nearly 25% increase – and the Equinox – 19,555 sold, a 34.4% increase. As a brand, Chevrolet sold 142,882 cars, trucks and SUVs in January, a 20% rise from a year ago, GM reported today.
New Warehouse Enables B.J. Alan to Double Capacity

WARREN, Ohio -- B.J. Alan Co. has positioned itself for explosive growth, three years after the consumer fireworks company purchased a portion of the former Delphi Packard Electrical Corp. complex on Larchmont Avenue.
"Welcome to the largest fireworks warehouse in the United States," says William Weimer, vice president of B.J. Alan, as he greets visitors. The company uses about 750,000 square feet between two interconnected warehouses to store hundreds of thousands of cases of fireworks cases each year.
