Furnos Establish $2 Million Scholarship at Westminster College
Wednesday, June 30, 2004WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- Qualified graduates from Monongahela Valley school systems will have the opportunity to attend Westminster College on a full scholarship as a result of a $2 million bequest from Virginia and Joseph Furno."We are grateful to the Furnos for remembering the college and establishing this scholarship," said Gloria Cagigas, vice president for institutional advancement.
Diebold Acquires TFE Technology Holdings

But when it comes to growing all this stuff myself? Fuhgetaboutit. Hey -- even when I water my plants every six months like clockwork, they still seem to meet an untimely end.So what's a brown thumber like me to do?

Tuesday, June 29, 2004"HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. -- Sears, Roebuck and Co. has agreed to acquire ownership or leasehold interest in up to 61 off-mall stores in key Sears markets from Kmart Holding Corp. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. for approximately $620 million in cash.The majority of the stores are expected to be converted by fourth quarter 2005 to Sears nameplates, including a new mid-size format.Kmart will continue to operate the stores that are to be sold until March or April 2005.
