Based on a pre-determined list of 10 people that included political and business leaders, movie and music stars, and religious figures, three in five U.S. adults would call God, according to a recent survey by Harris Interactive.If who people would call is any indication of who they would vote for in the November election, then President George W. Final Chevrolet Cavalier Built at GM Lordstown Complex
Wednesday, October 06, 2004LORDSTOWN, Ohio -- The last Chevrolet Cavalier to be produced at the General Motors Lordstown Complex rolled off the production line at approximately 11 a.m. today. The black Chevrolet Cavalier LS Coupe will be shipped to a Chevrolet dealership in Mount Holly, N.J., plant officials said.Hundreds of Lordstown team members accompanied the Cavalier down the final leg of the production line. Plant management released a brief announcement and a photo to memorialize the event, which was closed to outside news organizations.
KSU Foundation Reaches 120% of Fund-raising Goal
Wednesday, October 06, 2004KENT, Ohio -- The Kent State University Foundation has received more than $19.8 million -- 120% of its goal to raise $16.5 million by June 30, 2004 -- from more than 27,000 individuals and organizations, according to university President Carol A. Cartwright. This year, five individuals and families each made commitments of $1 million or more, totaling more than $16.5 million.

At that time, Slippery Rock Financial Corp. will be dissolved, and its assets will become part of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, the lead subsidiary of F.N.B. Corp."This is the final step in what has been a very smooth transition," said Stephen J. Gurgovits, F.N.B. president and chief executive officer.

Tuesday, October 05, 2004"CARSON CITY, Nev. -- QuickDrop eBay drop-off stores will be opening to serve 12 Ohio and five Pennsylvania counties as Brian Collins, James Posca and Chris Maragos have been granted area development rights for 34 stores, officials of QuickDrop International announced recently.The first Pennsylvania-based QuikDrop store will open in December, Maragos said. Counties in which stores are planned include Mahoning, Trumbull, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit and Wayne in Ohio and Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington and Westmoreland in Pennsylvania.
Review Council Recommends Tax Incentives Be Revoked

Inc., Poland Avenue, and United Foundries, Crescent Street. It also directed that at least 16 others be sent letters asking for more information on how many they employ and how much they have invested in their businesses in return for city tax concessions.Zarlingo failed to respond to any city inquires.Subsequent efforts to contact the company failed.
Primary Health Assumes Operations of Jacksonville Family Medicine Center

Ohio State Parks Cater to 3.3 Million Overnight Visitors in 2003
Tuesday, October 05, 2004COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Overnight visitors at Ohio State Park campgrounds, cottages and resort lodges contributed $291 million to the state's economy during 2003 -- a 10% increase over the amount they spent in 2001, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.Approximately 3.3 million overnight visitors spent an average of $88 per day on lodging, travel, food and other services in last year.

Edwards Scores Higher than Cheney, Poll Finds"

John Edwards prepare to debate tonight in Cleveland, the American public generally, and political independents in particular, have a more positive view of Edwards than of Cheney, according to the latest survey conducted by the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg Public Policy Center. About as many registered voters had a favorable view of Cheney as had an unfavorable one. With the data's margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points, the 37% favorable, 42% unfavorable margin was not statistically significant.
