Online Holiday Shopping Season Hits $23.2 Billion
Monday, January 03, 2005ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Online shoppers in the United States spent $23.2 billion during the 2004 holiday season, excluding travel, according to the latest eSpending Report from Goldman, Sachs & Co., Harris Interactive and Nielsen//NetRatings. This reflects a 25% increase from the $18.5 billion spent online during the same timeframe in 2003.Online consumers spent the most on apparel/clothing, totaling $3.8 billion, or 16% of total online revenue, the report found.

Monday, January 03, 2005FOLLANSBEE, W.Va. -- The United Steelworkers of America welcome the recent announcement that Russian steelmaker OAO Severstal and Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. have agreed to form a joint venture at Wheeling-Pitt's Follansbee Coke Plant, according to David McCall, USWA District 1 director.Under the proposed venture, both companies would share ownership of the plant and the coke produced there, but Wheeling-Pitt will continue to manage the facility.
First National Bankshares Completes Sale of Bouchard Insurance

$1.5 Billion Coal Gasification Station Planned for Ashtabula
