KeyBank Would Lend $1B to Women-Owned Businesses
Thursday, February 10, 2005CLEVELAND -- Through its Key4Women program, KeyBank will lend a minimum of $1 billion over the next three years to qualified businesses owned by women.KeyBank, with $91 billion in assets, serves nearly 80,000 businesses owned by women in 13 northern states from New York to Alaska.Charleen Davidson has been named relationship manager of the Key4Women program in its Youngstown, Canton and Akron markets, Thomas E. Tulodzieski announced.

Thursday, February 10, 2005SHARON, Pa. -- Four students from Farrell High School are taking classes at Penn State University's Shenango Campus free-of charge, thanks in part to a program that lets businesses direct a portion of their state taxes to specific K-12 educational initiatives.Kathleen Paul, director of continuing education at Penn State Shenango, reports that the four students are taking one introductory course each for credit.

YSU Enrollment Up for 13th Consecutive Semester
Wednesday, February 09, 2005"YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Enrollment is up for the 13th consecutive semester at Youngstown State University. The preliminary, 14-day enrollment for spring semester is 12,396, up by 36 students from last spring semester, the university reported today.Enrollment has increased every semester -- spring, summer and fall -- since spring semester 2001. The number of students on campus in spring 2000 was 10,872. Enrollment has increased by 1,524 students since then, a jump of 14%, the university said.
Winkle Electric Expands its Erie Service Center

Inc. announced today that it is expanding its presence in Erie, Pa., with the addition of new assembly capabilities at its Grandview Industrial Park location there. The new custom control panel shop at Winkle's Erie facility, which began operations Feb. 1, mirrors the shop at its Youngstown headquarters, said Robert Conger, Winkle Electric vice president of sales and marketing.
