"HMHP, Akron Children's Hospital Team Up"
Tuesday, February 22, 2005"YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Mahoning Valley children with a variety of special health-care needs won't need to travel out of town for treatment much longer. Humility of Mary Health Partners is teaming up with Akron Children's Hospital to provide enhanced pediatric health services in Youngstown beginning in July. Although Youngstown has a children's hospital, the services HMHP and Akron Children's Hospital will provide have never been available in the Mahoning Valley, said Robert Shroder, HMHP president and chief executive officer, at a press event Tuesday.
Delphi's Battenberg to Retire This Year
Tuesday, February 22, 2005"TROY, Mich. -- J.T. Battenberg III, chairman and chief executive officer of Delphi Corp., today announced his intention to retire later this year. Battenberg, 61, will complete a career that spans 44 years and 14 assignments at General Motors and Delphi. He was Delphi's founding chairman, CEO and president, until earlier this year, when Rodney O'Neal was named president and chief operating officer.Delphi's Board has given its consent to Battenberg's decision and also announced today that it will begin a search for a replacement immediately.
Incubator Firm's Software System in Beta Stage

"YSU Gets $100,000 Research Grant"
Tuesday, February 22, 2005"YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Parker Hannifin Corp., Cleveland, has awarded a $100,000 research grant to Youngstown State University's Hydraulic Research and Education Center for the development of an intelligent hydraulic system, YSU officials announced earlier today.Shawn Kim, Ganesh Kudav, Hazel Pierson and Daniel Suchora, faculty members in the mechanical engineering program in the Rayen College of Engineering and Technology, will use the funds to conduct research on flow analysis and virtual prototyping of a piston pump and hydraulic system now under development by Parker.
Cumulus Media Nets Revenues of $320.1M for 2004
Tuesday, February 22, 2005ATLANTA -- Cumulus Media Inc. today reported net revenues for 2004 of $320.1 million, up 13.4% from 2003. Lew Dickey, chairman, president and chief executive officer, attributed the increase primarily to revenues associated with station acquisitions completed prior to Dec. 31, 2003, and stations operated under the terms of local marketing agreements during periods prior to that date.Cumulus operates seven radio stations in the Youngstown, Ohio, market.Station operating expenses increased to $202.4 million last year, an increase of 12.8% over 2003.
Pennsylvania's Economic Performance Remains Mixed
Tuesday, February 22, 2005UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Pennsylvania's economic performance continues to mirror the nation's in its unemployment rate and per-capita income, but the commonwealth has lagged considerably on employment and population growth since 2000, Penn State University researchers found. "Not all urban and rural areas of the state navigated the 2001 to 2003 recession and recovery with equal success," the Penn State team said in the report, titled Road to 2005 -- Update on Pennsylvania.
