Only 64% of the respondents feel loved a lot when they receive an expensive gift.In fact, giving an expensive gift ranked last on the list of the 11 best ways to make your spouse feel extremely loved, the survey found.

Monday, February 14, 2005YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Newspaper Guild's strike against The Vindicator enters its third month today with no indication from the company that it ever plans resume negotiations -- and as area union leaders close ranks in support of the Guild.Mark Brown, general manager of The Vindicator Printing Co., said the company has no intention of increasing its "best and final" contract offer that the Guild has rejected twice. "Eventually they're going to have to take a reasonable view.
Ohio Lost 4.2% of Jobs During Recession
Sunday, February 13, 2005"COLUMBUS, Ohio -- One of every 24 jobs in Ohio has been lost since 2000, according to a report from the Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies. In the seventh annual The State of Poverty in Ohio: 2005 report, the association found that incomes rose sharply during the last 16 years in communities where taxpayers make more than $100,000 annually, while incomes simultaneously fell in Ohio's low income communities and all of its large cities except Cincinnati.
Tyco's Ed Breen Returns to Alma Mater This Week

Verizon to Acquire MCI for $5.3 Billion in Equity and Cash
Sunday, February 13, 2005"NEW YORK -- Verizon Communications Inc. and MCI Inc., Ashburn, Va., today announced that Verizon has agreed to acquire MCI for $4.8 billion in equity and $488 million in cash. Boards of directors of both companies have approved the agreement.MCI shareowners will receive 0.4062 shares of Verizon common stock for each common share of MCI. This is worth $4.795 billion and equivalent to $14.75 per MCI share, based on Verizon's closing price on Feb. 11. MCI shareowners will also receive $1.50 per MCI share in cash, worth $488 million.
