Monday, September 13, 2004DETROIT -- When the first 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt comes off the assembly line this fall at the General Motors Assembly Plant in Lordstown, Ohio, it will be rolling on tires specifically selected to provide premium ride and handling, according to Doug Parks, Cobalt chief engineer.Over 45 different tire constructions were considered for overall performance characteristics in specific applications.

The office will enhance the company's capability to manage its existing base of suppliers in China, as well as secure new low- cost supply sources of components for use in its manufacturing operations, according to Gerald V. Youngstown Buick Leads Area in August Sales
Monday, September 13, 2004VIENNA, Ohio -- The Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio reported Youngstown Buick/Pontiac/GMC in Boardman led the tri-county area in vehicle sales for August. The dealership, which recently acquired the former Stadium Chevrolet, sold 478 vehicles last month. It has sold 3,507 year to date, compared to 3,156 as of August 2003. Greenwood Chevrolet in Austintown had the second-highest sales volume for the month, with 292 units sold.

"YSU Enrollment Hits Nine-Year High; Headcount Tops 13,000"
Sunday, September 12, 2004"YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Enrollment at Youngstown State University is at its highest level in nine years and above 13,000 for the first time since 1995. The university recorded 13,101 students on campus this fall semester, according to official enrollment numbers released this morning.That's an increase of 243 students, or 1.9%, from last year, according to a YSU news release. It also marks the fourth consecutive fall semester enrollment increase, following more than a decade of decline.
