YSU MBA Reception Features Panel on Shale
Monday, May 12, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio --The Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University holds the first MBA Professional Development and Networking Reception on May 21.
The event, in Williamson Hall, will begin at 6 p.m. with a panel on the shale industry followed by a reception at 7:15 p.m. Topics will include economic opportunities that exploration of shale resources are creating in Ohio, the economic effects along the supply chain, as well as job opportunities arising from the oil and gas development in Ohio’s Utica and Marcellus Shale formations.

Costs Drop for Owning, Operating a Vehicle, AAA Finds
Monday, May 12, 2014ORLANDO, Fla. -- Owning and operating your vehicle just got a little less expensive, a new AAA study finds. The average cost to own and operate a sedan in the United States dropped 2.7% to 59.2 cents per mile, or $8,876 per year, based on 15,000 miles of driving annually.
Tressel to Meet Monday with Trustees, Reporters
Friday, May 09, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The president-designate of Youngstown State University, Jim Tressel, wil conduct a news conference Monday at 7 p.m. following a meeting of the school's board of trustees, which is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
Tressel and his wife, Ellen, are expected to attend the board meeting.
According to an advisory released at 4:20 Friday, the meeting concerns "the terms of the president's new contract.

Ryan: Tressel's Selection 'Great Day for Valley'

YSU Trustees Meeting in Executive Session
Friday, May 09, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- At this hour, the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees is meeting behind closed doors to discuss whom they will select as the school's next president.
Trustees convened an emergency meeting at 7:30 and immediately went into executive session.
Reporters are camped out in the trustees meeting room in Tod Hall where a podium has been set up, apparently to facilitate questions from reporters once the executive session concludes.
