Lewis Joins with Landers in Insurance, Consulting Firm
Monday, January 12, 2015BOARDMAN, Ohio Not only did Steve Lewis pick himself up and dust himself off, he’s started all over again with Dan Landers.
The former president and CEO of First Place Financial Corp. joined Landers, former president of First Place Insurance Agency, to form the Landers-Lewis Insurance Agency & Consulting Services LLC, 721 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Landers-Lewis, which has 12 employees, celebrated its first anniversary in November and expects to grow even more now that Landers’ noncompete agreement has expired.

Talmer, Second Harvest Collaborate on Soup Bowl
Monday, January 12, 2015WARREN, Ohio -- Talmer Bank and Trust is teaming with Second Harvest Food Bank to help “dropkick hunger” with the annual “Become a Soup Bowl Star” drive to feed hungry families. Through Jan. 30, the public is invited to donate canned soup at any Talmer branch.
The goal of the campaign is to help address the drop off in donations to Second Harvest once the holidays are over.
“We appreciate Talmer Bank and Trust helping us replenish the shelves after holiday food distributions,” said Mike Iberis, executive director of Second Harvest Food Bank.
Tressel Tapped for College Football Hall of Fame

“[Throughout my career,] I'm sure there were fleeting moments when you have quiet reflective times that don't last long and don't come often. You think, 'Wouldn't it be cool if [this] happened?' ” Tressel said. “That was one of the first things I thought about when the call came. Team NEO Names Goodrich Interim CEO

Goodrich, who was director of regional strategy implementation with the Fund for Our Economic Future, will provide “needed continuity and direction for the organization” as its board conducts its search, according to an announcement posted at the Team NEO website.
Team NEO and NorTech also are in the process of consolidating into a single organization that has adopted the Team NEO name.
