Monday, July 12, 2004COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Companies that need financial assistance to develop new products should look to the Innovation Ohio Loan Fund, state officials advise. "The Innovation Ohio Loan Fund is available to provide financing for established Ohio firms in need of capital for the development of new, innovative products," says Bruce Johnson, director of the state Department of Development. The fund provides helps companies develop projects that will generate new high-value jobs in targeted industry sectors. Interested parties may apply for funding through Aug.

Penn State Drops 'Administration' from Business College
Monday, July 12, 2004UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa -- The Smeal College of Business Administration at Penn State University is now known just as the Smeal College of Business, the word "administration" dropped from the name to better reflect the mission of business education, officials said.Last week the university's board of trustees approved the name change."We've recommended that the word administration be dropped from our name because it no longer reflects the essence of business education and leadership," said Judy Olian, dean of the college.
