Mayor-elect McNally Seeks Resumes for Top City Jobs
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Mayor-elect John McNally today announced that he is accepting resumes for all top city positions that are appointed. This includes the police and fire chief positions.
McNally, in a press release, said even those city officials currently serving in unclassified service positions to “confirm their interest in remaining in service to the city” by also submitting their resumes.
In addition, McNally advised potential applicants that “upon written request from any media outlets or any other requesting parties, all applications will be subject to disclosure as if the submitted resumes are public records.”
The following are the unclassified service positions for which the mayor-elect is soliciting applicants:
- Chief of staff
- Finance director
- Law director and assistant law directors
- City prosecutor and assistant city prosecutors
- Police chief
- Fire chief
- Deputy director of public works
- Commissioner of building and grounds
- Water commissioner
- Director of parks and recreation
- Executive director, Human Relations Commission

The deadline to submit resumes is 5 p.m. Dec. 1.
