Spring Registration Begins at Eastern Gateway
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- Registration for the spring semester has begun at Eastern Gateway Community College. First day of classes is Jan. 14, 2013.
The college reminds interested residents of its special offer of the half-off tuition grant for new students who take a minimum of six credit hours at the Valley Center in downtown Youngstown.
New students must apply for the free application for federal student aid and use awarded financial aid before the half-off grant applies, officials said. The grant will cover half of new students’ tuition charges for the spring 2013 semester only.
According to the provisions of the tuition-only grant, applicants must be a high school graduate or have earned a GED, be new to Eastern Gateway (never have taken classes at the college) and enroll in a minimum of six credit hours at the Valley Center.
They may take more than six hours at the Valley Center, online or at another college delivery location. If financial aid covers all tuition costs, the grant does not apply.
New students should call the admissions office at 330 744 8967. They should also meet with an admissions recruiter to discuss transfer opportunities and/or career preparation programs in business, engineering and information technologies, health and public services. They should apply for financial aid as soon as possible here.
