Youngstown Chiropractor Develops DVD Series on Golf
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- If you ask local chiropractor Dominic Russo what is the most important piece of golf equipment, he will immediately reply: "Your body."Russo (left) is a master certified golf fitness instructor and founder of The Golf Performance Institute, which specializes in designing golf fitness programs enabling golfers to enhance and maximize performance and prevent injury. His knowledge about body mechanics, fitness and a love of golf has led him to create the Pro Fit Power Golfvideo series. This series is based on Russo's experience and work with athletes in sports rehabilitation and injury care. "Every golfer I know has one ambition-- to improve their golf game," says Russo. "Although practice is a key element in improving a golfer's final score, it's understanding your body's fitness level that often plays the most important role."For the past three years, Russo's golf fitness programs have been tested with proven results by numerous LPGA and PGA touring professionals. LPGA pro Sally Little was experiencing major hip problems that interfered with her golf game before she started working with Russo. "Due to Dr. Russo's wonderful strengthening and stretching program, I am able to play golf at full speed again," Little says. "I've been dedicated to doing these stretching exercises for almost a year, and it's made a world of difference to me."Whether a beginner or a professional, the Pro Fit Power Golfvideo series helpd golfers improve performance, play pain-free and lower golf scores. In the video, Russo instructs golfers, who demonstrate how to properly execute each exercise step by step. Each video is accompanied by an instruction booklet with a brief explanation on how to do each exercise and which are best for stretching, flexibility and strengthening. The Pro Fit Power Golf DVD can be purchased from Russo for $19.99.Russo is employed with the Ohio Sports and Spine Institute, and is a member of The American College of Sports Medicine."
