Trumbull Memorial Hospital Designated Level III Trauma Center
WARREN, Ohio -- Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital has become a Level III Trauma Center, reports Kevin M. Spiegel, chief operating officer. The trauma center is designed to increase the level of care patients receive, he adds.Tim Richards, trauma coordinator, says the program has been in place internally since January and is a strong aspect of the patient-focused care provided at TMH. "We are getting great feedback from pre-hospital care providers and are confident that we will continue to be the area's leading emergency service," he says.Additional strengths of the trauma program at TMH include in-house anesthesia services, extensive EMS and paramedic professional education programs, a cardiac surgery program and convenient access to inpatient rehabilitation services, Richards notes.The Level III Trauma Center is a part of an overall $6 million Emergency Department expansion project currently underway at TMH."
