Trumbull Gets Funding for Hubbard Study
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Trumbull County will receive a $15,000 grant to complete a comprehensive downtown planning study and develop a marketing plan and strategy for the city of Hubbard. The Ohio Department of Development's Office of Housing and Community Partnerships will administer the grants.The Trumbull County grant was one of two awards today announced by ODOD. In addition, the city of Chillicothe will receive a $200,000 grant to assist with the redevelopment of the fire-damaged Carlisle Building in its central business district. After the project is complete, the 20,000 square-foot building will include both office and retail space."Downtown revitalization is a key component of economic development across the state," said Bruce Johnson, state development director. "The Department of Development is committed to assisting communities, like the city of Chillicothe and Trumbull County, so they can improve their central business districts and serve as models for other communities around the state.""
