Susan Eisenhower to Speak at Grove City College
GROVE CITY, Pa. Business strategist, foreign affairs expert, writer and commentator Susan Eisenhower will speak at the Grove City College campus April 6. She is president of the Eisenhower Group Inc., which provides strategic counsel on political, business and public affairs, and a senior director of Stonebridge International, a Washington-based international consulting firm.Eisenhower is a distinguished fellow of the Eisenhower Institute, where she has served as both president and chairman. After more than 20 years in the foreign affairs field, she is best known for her work in Russia and the former Soviet Union. She has testified before Senate committees on Soviet policy and has also been appointed to the National Academy of Sciences' standing Committee on International Security and Arms Control. In 2000, a year before Sept. 11, she co-edited the book Islam and Central Asia: An Enduring Legacy or an Evolving Threat?Eisenhower has also served on many government task forces. In 2000, the Secretary of Energy appointed her to the Baker-Cutler Commission, a task force to evaluate U.S. funded nuclear non-proliferation programs in Russia. In 2001, after serving two terms on the NASA Advisory Council, she was appointed to serve on the International Space Station Management and Cost Evaluation Task Force. She is currently a member of the Task Force on Nuclear Energy. Over the past 10 years, Eisenhower has written three books, including Breaking Free and Mrs. Ike.
