Radiation Oncology Facility Opens at Beeghly Medical Park
BOARDMAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Forum Health Beeghly Medical Park is the site of a new, $3 million radiation oncology facility. The Western Reserve Care System Cancer CareCenter at Beeghly began seeing patients yesterday, officials report.The center is part of a $100 million master facility expansion project that is currently under way at Forum Health's campuses in Mahoning and Trumbull County. On-site physicians at the center utilize the latest technology, bringing the same professional care as is available at Forum's Northside Medical Center in Youngstown and Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.The new center was established in direct response to the health care needs of Mahoning Valley patients, who Forum officials say are requesting easier access to health care services and demanding modern facilities close to their homes. Services available at Beeghly Medical Park include External Beam Radiation Treatments, an Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy linearaccelerator, a 120 multi-leaf collimator, on-site physicians for patient visits and consults and support services for research, psychosocial, educational and/or nutritional itemsThe new radiation oncology facility, in Building A, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday."
