Breaking News: Biden to Speak at M7 Technologies
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Vice President Joe Biden will speak at M7 Technologies here next week as part of a two-day tour of Ohio to highlight the Obama Administration’s efforts on behalf of manufacturing and the auto industry.
President Obama’s reelection campaign issued the advisory minutes ago promising further details to come regarding the vice president’s visit here May 16 and 17. In addition to his remarks at M7, an advanced manufacturing facility, Biden will also vist Staffilino Chevrolet, a family-owned dealership in Martins Ferry, which the campaign said was saved by the rescue of the auto industry.
During his visit, the vice president will discuss Obama’s efforts to “create an economy built to last,” according to the advisory. He also will draw a contrast with presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney’s “commitment to return to the same policies that created the economic crisis and put the economic security of the middle class – in Ohio and across the country – at risk,” the campaign said.
During the 2008 general election campaign, Biden spoke at rallies in Youngstown and Warren.
In 2010, Biden campaigned on behalf of then-Gov. Ted Strickland, who was defeated in his bid for a second term by Ohio’s current governor, John Kasich.
