KeyBank Joins Summit County 'Ways to Work' Program
AKRON, Ohio -- The KeyBank Eastern Ohio district has entered into an ongoing relationship with Family Services of Summit County to provide vehicle loans of up to $3,000 to 120 area families through the nonprofit agency's Ways to Work loan program.Since the Summit County program's inception in 1996, more than 300 area families have benefited from loans exceeding a combined total of $700,000. Ways to Work/Family Services is significantly increasing the number of loans provided through its relationship with KeyBank following receipt of a $500,000 grant from the Department of Transportation, reports Thomas E. Tulodzieski, district president of KeyBank.The vast majority of borrowers in Ways to Work loan programs nationwide are families in need of short-term support. Through the program, Family Services evaluates, approves and processes each loan application and fully supports loan repayments by Working with each borrower to establish and repair his or her credit history through a spending plan that supports the loan repayment. Ways to Work loans are typically repaid within two years of their closing.Eastern Ohio is the seventh largest of KeyBank's 24 districts nationwide, with 38 branches and 69 ATMs in Carroll, Columbiana, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, and Trumbull counties.
