June 7 College Fair Set for 20 Federal Place
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The city-owned 20 Federal Place will present a college fair on June 7. More than 16 regional colleges and trade schools will participate.
Other organizations that will provide free training and employment services at the event include Project Hope and Compass Family & Community Services. The college fair will focus on adult and traditional students, organizers said.
Participating schools and vendors include Youngstown State University, Kent State University at Trumbull, Geneva College, Penn State Shenango, Hiram College, National College, Eastern Gateway Community College, ITT Technical Institute, Trumbull Business School, Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, ETI Technical College, VXI, Trumbull Career and Technical Center, Thiel College, Columbiana County Career and Technical Center and Walsh University. Other schools from northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania are expected to participate as well.
VXI will be recruiting onsite and plans to hire in excess of 200 employees.
The fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 20 Federal Place. The event is free and open to the public.
