E-Business Training Program Offered at YSU
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Ohio companies that want to learn more about improving business efficiency and sales electronically are invited to participate in a new training program called eVantage.On June 2, the Ohio Small Business Development Center at Youngstown State University will begin the 12-week program, which is a multi-phased program designed specifically for small businesses. It is offered through Ohio's Small Business Development Centers and the Ohio Investment In Training Partnership. This program is about transforming existing business practices to improve efficiencies and sales electronically.During the program, participants will: Evaluate their current baseline operationDevelop and implement a customized e-business strategyLearn about opportunities for eBusiness beyond a Web siteSee how technology can reduce costs and streamline business internallyUse technology to improve sales, profits, and customer serviceModules include such topics as e-business requirements and performance definitions, supply chain management and order fulfillment, marketing and selling, customer service and security, Internet and Web site design and e-business systems infrastructure and implementation. The cost for the program is $500 per company, and a maximum of two participants per company may attend the class at $500 per person. The fee includes 36 hours of classroom instruction and 30 hours of follow-up consultation after the course.Participation is limited to 14 companies in Ashtabula, Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties.
