Event Looks at Natural Gas as Transportation Fuel
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The use of natural gas as a transportation fuel will be the focus of a Dec. 5 event at Yankee Lake Ballroom in Brookfield.
The Natural Gas Vehicle Lunch and Learn is being presented by Ohio Energy Resource Alliance, Clean Fuels Ohio, General Motors, Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce. The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Scheduled participants include individuals and companies that are converting vehicles to use natural gas and building refueling stations in the region.
The event represents the first occasion that the three chambers from Ohio and Pennsylvania have collaborated, said Bob McCracken, executive director of the Shenango and Lawrence chambers.
The program will feature an update on the Utica shale and presentations on the benefits of natural gas for transportation and financing for vehicles; fueling infrastructure development; advanced fuel vehicle evaluation; natural gas vehicle conversions; success stories; closing comments from sponsors; and a vehicle showcase and open discussions.
To RSVP for the event (by Dec. 2), contact Mandy Shina at the regional chamber at 330 744 2131 ext. 32 or via email.
