Infectech Seeks FDA Approval for Biophasic System Devices
"SHARON, Pa. -- Infectech Inc. has filed with the Food and Drug Administration to begin the production, marketing and commercializing of its biophasic system devices intended for medical purposes to cultivate and identify certain pathogenic microorganisms, officials announced recently.The devices contain one or more components that suppress the growth of certain microorganisms while either promoting or not affecting the growth of other microorganisms and aid in the diagnosis of disease caused by the pathogenic microorganisms, officials said.Infectech, a biotechnology/genomics company, is engaged in the research and development of diagnostic test kits designed to be used for the rapid identification of infectious human diseases.
