"BUTLER, Pa. -- Butler County Community College will celebrate the opening of its new building in Hermitage, Pa., at the LindenPointe Innovative Business Campus tomorrow. For the 38 years, Butler County Community College, known as BC3, has offered higher education and work force training at an affordable cost to residents of Cranberry Township, Butler, Armstrong and Lawrence counties, with some classes held in Mercer County on a limited basis. Tomorrow, BC3 and Youngstown State University will sign an agreement that will allow the smooth transfer of BC3 students to YSU. The signing will be at BC3's new LindenPointe facility. BC3 officials also are working on similar articulation agreements with Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, Pa., and Thiel College, Greenville, Pa., Azari said.BC3 offers a "no-barriers" approach to education, providing access to affordable education through its open admission policy.
