Talmer Bank Taps Wenick to Head Mahoning Region
WARREN, Ohio -- Talmer Bank and Trust, a subsidiary of Talmer Bancorp Inc., announced today that Mark Wenick is its regional president of the Mahoning Valley and that he is executive managing director/group manager private client services-Ohio.
Wenick was executive vice president of wealth management at First Place Bank before Talmer Bancorp acquired it. Most recently he was a vice president for wealth management at First National Bank of Pennsylvania, based in its Youngstown office.
“The Mahoning Valley region is a very important market for Talmer Bank and Trust,” stated David T. Provost, chairman and CEO of Talmer Bank and Trust, in a prepared statement. “We are very excited to have Mark join our team and lead this region during this great period of economic growth in the Valley.”
Wenick began his career in the Valley in 1987 when he joined the former Dollar Savings & Trust Co, now part of PNC Bank. Since then he has held executive management positions with Bank One and MainStreet Trust Co.
Wenick earned his baccalaureate at Columbia University and his juris doctorate at the Duquesne University School of Law.
