Youngstown Rotary Hosts District Conference this Weekend
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Rotary Club of Youngtown is the host club for the Rotary District 6650 annual conference that begins here today. Representatives from the 47 clubs in northeastern Ohio will take part in the three-day workshops and activities that conclude Sunday.
The conference kicks off with lunch at the D.D. & Velma Davis Visitor Center at Mill Creek MetroParks Fellows Riverside Gardens, where Mayor John McNally and Scott Schulick, president of the Rotary Club of Youngstown, will welcome guests.
Featured speaker is Karen Swaim Babin, a representative of the president of Rotary International. Evening activities will move to the Oh Wow! Children's Museum of Science and Technology and include a cookie table contest, district awards and a memorial service.
Saturday's activities will be held at the Williamson College of Business Administration of Youngstown State University, with the evening's dinner, hosted by District Governor and Youngstown Rotarian Debbie Esbenshade, at the Tyler History Center. The conference wraps up Sunday morning at the Hampton Inn in Canfield.
