Window World Sponsors Orange County Choppers
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Fred and Pat Moran, owners of six Window World franchises in northern Ohio and western Pennsylvania are sponsoring a tour of three Orange County Choppers. The cycles are from the motor vehicle line of Window World Powersports, which is maintained by the local company.
The tour will take place June 27 through July 1. Called “The Window World Chopper Tour For a Better Home,” the event includes stops at the Quaker Steak and Lube Bike Nite near Window World Cleveland in Valley View on June 27. On June 28, the tour will stop at Quaker Steak in Austintown, followed on June 29 at Window World's showroom in Boardman for an open house. The final stop will be June 30 and July 1 at Window World of Pittsburgh’s newest location in Robinson Town Center on Steubenville Pike.
“We’re excited to give people a look at The Window World Choppers, not just because they are so cool, but because they tell the Window World Story in an extremely unique fashion,” said Fred Moran, senior owner of the local franchises. “It’s going to be a fun five days of meeting people, giveaways and celebrating our growth as a company.”
Visitors of the tour can register to win the “Five Days to a Better Home Giveaway” consisting of new windows and an entry door, installed, he added.
During the events, visitors can see the Window World Chopper, St. Jude’s Dream Bike and the Veterans Airlift Command Bike, all of which have been featured on different episodes of American Chopper, a prime time television show that documents events taking place at Orange County Choppers.
The WW Chopper, unveiled in May 2010, has window mirrors and “W” handlebars. Double hung windows outline wheels and rotors. The St. Jude Dream Bike was unveiled in December 2010. This bike, a favorite of Paul Teutul Sr. (Orange County Choppers), was built and designed with the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in mind. This bike was featured on the most watched episode of American Chopper history on Jan. 31, 2011. The VAC Bike was unveiled on Veterans Day 2011 at the annual Veterans Airlift Command’s gathering of sponsors, supporters and wounded veterans at the Fair Barn in Pinehurst, N.C. Both the St. Jude Dream Bike and VAC Bike were built in honor or Window World Cares, the charitable foundation of Window World Inc.
With their first franchise started in 2003 in Youngstown, Fred and Pat Moran own Window World franchises in Youngstown, Toledo, Findlay, Steubenville, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland, the most recently acquired franchise. “Window World sells and installs more replacement windows than Lowes and Home Depot combined,” said Pat Moran, Fred’s son.
Window World Inc., headquartered in North Wilkesboro, N.C., is America's largest replacement window company with stores and offices in more than 200 cities nationwide.
