Wean Foundation Nonprofit Summit Set for Sept. 18
WARREN, Ohio -- Nonprofit professionals from across the region are invited to connect with peers while learning from nonprofit experts and from each other at The Eighth Annual Nonprofit Summit Sept. 18 at Kilcawley Center on the campus of Youngstown State University.
The day-long event features 15 interactive workshops and a morning plenary covering a broad range of topics relevant to nonprofit professionals. Also back are the pre-summit facilitated continental breakfast networking sessions, one for board members, one for educators and one for emerging nonprofit leaders.
Attendee experience will be enhanced by this year’s addition of the TurningPoint® Audience Response System provided by Turning Technologies, Youngstown, organizers says.
The luncheon keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Sherece Y. West-Scantlebury, CEO of the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, a private, independent foundation based in Arkansas.
This year’s themes of sharing and inspiration succinctly capture the reason that the Wean Foundation convenes the nonprofit sector each year for this event. Whatever the goals of the work, whatever the population being served, sharing lessons learned in the field with equally committed peers is a sure source of inspiration.
The summit fee is $25 per person, which includes all sessions, workshops, presentations, continental breakfast and lunch; $20 for each additional person from the same organization.
Registration deadline is Sept. 15. For more information or to register, go to www.rjweanfdn.org.
