Valley Legacy Awards Nominations Open
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Nominations are being sought for the 2012 Valley Legacy Awards. Open to seniors and senior advocates in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, the awards are presented to recognize people age 60 years of age or older who deserve recognition for a lifetime of working to improve the Mahoning Valley, as well as to individuals who have provided exceptional support for older Americans through their professional, volunteer or civic roles.
Nominations are being accepted for Outstanding Senior and Outstanding Senior Advocate, and must be postmarked by July 31.
Sponsors include presenting sponsor Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Services Inc., WFMJ-TV, Oldies 106.1, Newstalk 570 WKBN, The Review Newspapers, The Senior News, Keynote Media Group, ComDoc and ComfortKeepers/Hospice of the Valley.
All nominees and the award recipients will be honored at the eighth annual Valley Legacy Awards Luncheon, scheduled for Oct. 11.
