COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An informational meeting about an interchange to provide access to state Route 164 from Interstate 680 in Beaver Township is scheduled for Oct. 16 at the Ohio Department of Transportation’s North Lima outpost, 10720 Market St.
The proposed transportation improvement will be separated into three separate phases. The project includes a new interchange north of Route 164 as well as pavement reconstruction, a roundabout and new lane configurations along Route 164.
The first improvement is scheduled for construction in Summer 2015. The estimated construction cost is approximately $17.5 million.
The purpose of the meeting is to present and discuss the proposed interchange improvement project with the general public, residents, business and property owners and public officials and to solicit public comments regarding the proposed improvements and its social, economic, and environmental impacts. No formal presentation will be made.
In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, ODOT also requests information regarding the presence of any known cultural resources in the vicinity of the project. These include prehistoric and historic archaeological sites, historic bridges, historic buildings, sites and districts.
The public involvement meeting is an opportunity to provide comments. All interested persons are invited to attend, participate and provide comments regarding the proposed project by Oct. 31.
