HBA Inducts 2 into Its Hall of Fame
BOARDMAN, Ohio -- The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the Valley has inducted Teri Storey and Jim Grantz into its hall of fame. Andy Profanchik, chairman of the committee, presented Storey of Masonry Materials Plus and Grantz of Komar Plumbing & Grantz Family Properties plaques Oct. 15.
The HBA also presented 50-year service awards to Joe Sylvester Sr. and Guy Damore, both past HBA presidents and inducted earlier into the hall of fame.
Storey is the first woman to serve as associate vice president of the HBA and to become an associate life director. The “Supplier of the Year” award is named in her honor in recognition of Masonry Materials' support of the HBA.
Masonry Materials, run by Storey and her partner, Hobie Butcher, operates from a 10-acre site in northeastern Youngstown. It provides an extensive line of concrete block, split-face block, stone and other decorative concrete units. In 2011, the company celebrated its 25th anniversary in business and as an HBA member.
Jim Grantz is a 42-year member of the HBA and served on the board 19 years. His efforts to increase membership have earned him the Ohio Home Builders Association Top Gun Award and national association Spike Club membership.
