Tuesday, December 14, 2004MERIDEN, Conn. -- Fourth-quarter sales of $103.5 million at Cuno Inc. set a new record and are up 34% from the same period in 2003, officials reported yesterday. Net income for the fourth quarter increased by 18% to $9 million. Diluted earnings per share for the current period were a record 52 cents, up 18% compared to the prior year quarter."We achieved double-digit sales growth in each of our primary markets, including Potable Water, Healthcare and Fluid Processing," said Mark G. Online Shoppers Spend $12.7 Billion to Date
Tuesday, December 14, 2004ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- As of the end of last week, 27% of online consumers say they've finished their holiday shopping, compared to 31% during the same timeframe in 2003, according to the latest Holiday eSpending Report from Goldman, Sachs & Co., Harris Interactive and Nielsen//NetRatings. So far, the consumers have spent $12.7 billion online to date excluding travel.Some 23% have not yet begun their holiday shopping, while 50% have started but have not completed their holiday gift buying, the survey found.
