Landscaper to Grow Business in Old Burkland Building
Friday, June 06, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- A city resident will get the chance to realize her longtime dream of starting her own landscaping business.
Lisa Robinson plans to start securing the necessary permits next week to begin rehabilitating the building at 3514 Market St., formerly occupied by Burkland Flowers. The city Board of Control voted Thursday to approve a lease agreement with an option for Robinson’s company, Show Stopper Landscaping LLC, to purchase the vacant property.

Friday, June 06, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The PNC Financial Services Group has promoted two employees in its Youngstown region, Ted Brennan and Myra Vitto, and hired a third, Gina Strickland, Ted Schmidt, regional president, has announced.
Brennan has been promoted to senior vice president and relationship manager for corporate and institutional banking. As such, he is responsible for portfolio management and new business development for mid-sized to large companies.
Brennan earned his baccalaureate at Youngstown State University and volunteers with the Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown.

Toys "R" Us to Close Its Youngstown Warehouse

The retail chain’s corporate communications manager, Linda Connors, confirmed that it would cease its operations at the Youngstown Distribution Center, completing outbound shipments Aug. 1.
