Grocers Event to Benefit Ursuline Ministry, Prince of Peace
Thursday, February 20, 2014CANFIELD, Ohio -- The Youngstown Area Grocers Association's 9th Annual Wine & Beer Taste on March 14 will benefit the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown HIV/AIDS Ministry and the Prince of Peace Center in Farrell, Pa. The event will be held at Stambaugh Auditorium, Youngstown.
More than 100 wines and 50 microbrews will be available to sample and gourmet food will be served, said Sister Kathleen Minchin, founder and director of the HIV/AIDS ministry. Entertainment will be provided by the Buddy White Trio.

In their advertising, the company offers to stop collections calls and loans to individuals or businesses with bad credit.
A New York consumer told the Better Business Bureau that she had contacted this company for a personal loan. A company representative told the consumer that in order to secure a $20,000 loan, she must pay a loan premium of $533.32 and $100 insurance policy fee in advance.

3 Drilling Permits Issued in Lawrence County, Pa.
Wednesday, February 19, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection awarded three new horizontal permits for oil and gas exploration in Lawrence County during the first two weeks in February, records show.
The DEP reports it issued a single permit Feb. 13 to SWEPI LP, a division of Shell Energy, to drill a new horizontal well at the Kephart farm in North Beaver Township.
Also, the agency issued permits Feb. 7 to Hilcorp Energy Co. to drill two new horizontal wells at the Mijavec farm in Pulaski Township, records show.
CHS Reports Revenues Down Slightly for Year

This comes as the companyreports its 2013 new hires in the Buckeye State total more than 930, including positions in information technology/engineering, retail, technician, call center, business solutions and corporate support.
The hirings reflect AT&T's continuing investment in its Ohio network and team, officials said. In the first half of 2013, AT&T invested more than $225 million in its networks in the state.
