“We are one of two manufacturers in the country of clamshell dredges,” says Earl Mook, marketing manager at Supreme Manufacturing Inc., which sits just off Interstate 79 here.

Gatta Gets $1.3M Tax Credit for Gallagher Building
Friday, December 19, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Gatta Group expects to begin work next spring, perhaps sooner, on the rehabilitation of the Gallagher Building with a goal of completing the work by the end of 2015, its president said Thursday.
The $5.9 million project got a boost Thursday with the award of a state historic preservation tax credit of $1.325 million. The downtown project is among 35 historic buildings statewide the Ohio Development Services Agency awarded $41.8 million in tax credits. Together, the projects are expected to leverage $600 million in private investment in 12 communities.
Youngstown Approves Grant Agreement for VAM Mill
Friday, December 19, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Board of Control Thursday approved accepting a $300,000 grant from JobsOhio to help VAM USA with its project on Ohio Works Drive.
The grant is part of the incentive package the state put together earlier this year to encourage VAM to move forward with the project.
“We had anticipated this,” said David Bozanich, city finance director. The state has just begun circulating the documents related to the grant, he said.
