Public Believes Prison Guards Were Following Orders
Monday, May 24, 2004PHILADELPHIA -- The American public's opinion about prisoner abuse in Iraq has shifted dramatically away from the idea that the guards were acting on their own at the Abu Ghraib prison to the belief that they followed orders, the University of Pennsylvania's National Annenberg Election Survey shows. In polling from last Monday through Sunday night, 48% said the guards were "following orders from their commanders," while 30% said they acted "on their own," and 9% said both were true.

Hartville Group to Acquire Insurance Company
Monday, May 24, 2004NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- Hartville Group Inc., a nationwide provider of pet health insurance, has finalized the definitive purchase agreement to acquire a property and casualty insurance company.The name of the insurance company and terms of the transaction were not disclosed but will be revealed in a Securities and Exchange Commission Form 8-K that will be filed immediately following the closing.The purchase is subject to customary closing conditions and approval of Hartville acquiring control by the Department of Insurance of the insurance company's state of domicile.
