YSU's Online MBA Gets High Marks from Foundation
Monday, January 26, 2015YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Affordable Colleges Foundation ranks Youngstown State University’s online master’s of business administration program among the best in the nation for 2014-2015.
The program in YSU’s Williamson College of Business Administration is ranked 21st of the 68 online MBA programs included in the rankings, placing YSU in the top third nationally in the Best Online MBA Programs list.

Region's Economy to Grow 14% by 2025 – Team NEO
Monday, January 26, 2015CLEVELAND --- The northeastern Ohio region’s gross regional product grew 45% from 1990 to 2015, although employment gained only 3% over the period, Team NEO reports.
The quarterly Cleveland Plus Economic Review, released Sunday, projects that northeastern Ohio’s gross regional product will grow another 14% to reach a $247 billion economy and employment will fall to by 5% by 2025.
National Bancshares Reports 2014 Record Net Income
Monday, January 26, 2015ORRVILLE, Ohio -- National Bancshares Corp., parent of First National Bank of Orrville, reports fourth-quarter net income of $1.646 million, or 74 cents per diluted share, and full-year net income of $5.904 million, or $2.65 a share, a record.
These figures compare to net income of $1.108 million the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2103, or 49 cents a share, and full-year 2013 net income of $4.115 million, or $1.85 a share.

TedXYoungstown Draws Double 2014’s Attendance

A total of 235 people registered for the day-long event, taking place today in the Ford Theater at Youngstown State University’s Bliss Hall.
“Last year we only had 100 people, which is what we were restricted to,” Lori Shandor, TedXYoungstown Curator, says. “So we’re not a sellout crowd but that’s great news because we have some room to grow here.”
