Wean Foundation Hosts Fundraising Workshop March 19
WARREN, Ohio -- The Raymond John Wean Foundation will host an Overview of Fundraising Planning session at 8:30 a.m. March 19 at the Kent State University Trumbull Campus in Champion Township. The presenter is David M. Holmes, acting director, Foundation Center-Cleveland.
Holmes has been responsible for creating, managing and delivering training programs in support of capacity building of nonprofits in Cleveland and in the Midwest since 2005. Before he joined the Center, Holmes spent more than 23 years in the nonprofit sector, serveding as information officer at the National Human Services Assembly in Washington, D.C., program officer for The Stocker Foundation and as the director of grants and prospect research at Notre Dame College.
This session will provide a strategic overview of the components necessary to ensure an organization reaches its fundraising goals. Participants will be taught how to conduct an asset inventory, identify a diverse funding stream, chart a fundraising calendar, among other topics.
Registration, which is limited to 80, is $10 per person and includes light refreshments. Registration deadline is March 12. The two-hour event will take place in Room 117 of the KSU Technology Building. For more information, call Lori Wiebe at the foundation, 330 394 5600, ext. 100.
