Station Square Wins Kudos from Wine Spectator
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Station Square Restaurant in Liberty Township has been honored with Wine Spectator Magazine’s Award of Excellence for 2012. Only 1% of restaurants in the United States are so honored by the magazine, its editors say.
Station Square, open 25 years, offers a wide variety of fine wines from around the globe as well as a selection of its own signature wines, according to co-owner Ottavio Musumeci.
Musumeci and his wife, Bridget, bought the restaurant in May 2001. Musumeci was born and grew up in Italy, while his wife, from Warren, studied as a sous chef in Italy.
Patrons at Station Square can enjoy wine paired with Italian cuisine on its recently expanded menu, Musumeci says. Among the new offerings are organic beef and chicken.
Recently, the owners added a new brick patio to offer outdoor dining and more space for parties and company events.
