Ohioans Asked for Views on Outdoor Recreation
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is seeking suggestions from residents of the state about the outdoor recreational activities they enjoy most. They are invited to share their opinions about the activities they like best and any new or expanded outdoor recreational opportunities they would like to see in Ohio.
Responses to the survey will help park, nature preserve and forest managers as well as local, state and federal officials set priorities for funding and improvements, ODNR officials say.
Results of the survey will be incorporated in the five-year Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan. This plan provides information on trends in trends and serves as a reference document for state officials who allocate federal and state grants among worthy projects proposed by park districts around the state.
The Ohio Outdoor Recreation survey is now available at this website through Oct. 14.
